Summary of Internship

In this internship I started by doing volunteer work for the first three months. All interns had to do this since we needed to know where every department in the hospital was located. As an intern I transported patients to different departments, discharged patients, pick up blood from the blood bank, and helped the patient get their medicine. After a few months, I was sent to other departments including, the Infusion Center, the Clinic, and Mother Baby, to observe the medical staff and learn their procedures. This internship helped me realize that I really want to be a Radiologist. I like the environment and the fact that everything in this department is involved with technology. In this internship I also learned how a hospital operates, the importance of always following directions and the need for good communication to do a good job.
