Summary of Internship
At my internship, I learned quite a bit about accounting. For instance, I learned about usign the accounting program, Quickbooks, the predecessor of Microsoft Excel, Lotus, and Superforms, a program which records and chronicles all of the latest tax forms, from 1040's to W2's, and everything in between. I learned how to input client's data into Quickbooks, how to use this new data in completing bank reconciliations and various tax forms, such as 1099-B's, which record the gains and losses of securities held by clients. Beyond learning about just accounting, I learned about professional business. Courtesy, promptness, tact, and the basics of every job (from photocopier work and secretarial duties to data entry) were taught well. These are lessons that I can use in any aspect of whatever I wish my future career to be.
