Summary of Internship
Working at HUMCís Pharmacy Department is not for the lazy. It requires meticulous attention to detail, dedication, and innovation. Interns generally do technicianís duties. These include sorting and restocking the medication, filling out orders, and drawing up different solutions or tonics. Thereís always something to do and not enough people to do everything. As an intern you get the unique experience to try everything in the pharmacy, not the same daily set of activities that hired employees do. This gives one great knowledge of not only how to do each task, but how they fit together to form a bustling pharmacy. You also gain a broad knowledge about the medications, treatments, and tools used in the pharmacy. The team there is very knowledgeable and helpful.
