Background Information

For more than 80 years, northern New Jersey has turned to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck for health care excellence, compassionate medical and nursing care, technological advances, and an atmosphere of healing and respect for all. With centers of excellence in cancer care, cardiovascular services, interventional radiology, dialysis treatment, women’s health care, and neurology services, plus a host of other state-of-the-art diagnostic, treatment, and health management services, Holy Name Hospital provides high quality health care across a continuum that extends from prevention through treatment and on toward recovery and wellness. It is for this reason that they trust LKU engineering, an established engineering company dedicated to excellence, to fix any problems that occur. Established in 1975, LKU Engineering has made a name for itself, improving the lives of others. LKU was started in by a group of young men who partnered together, and started an engineering design company. Of these men was Joe Arabia, who just happens to be my mentor. Within the company, employees specialize in ocean engineering, transportation engineering, and aeronautical engineering.

Summary of Internship

In LKU Engineering, mechanical and electrical engineers design mechanical drawings and build parts used by electricians, hospitals, organizations and companies. Regular tasks include machine-tool designing and power transmission design, which call for patience and perseverance. I have been apart of projects ranging from an hour to several weeks of time. An internship at LKU Engineering is a great experience because it exposes you to engineering problems that one would not face otherwise. In addition, the engineers in LKU Engineering, are well qualified and have helped in my growth as a future electrical engineer.
