Summary of Internship
At Shelter Our Sisters, I do a variety of things. Some days I may do basic office work such as, filing papers, typing up documents, sending out letters, making copies, and making phone calls. But other days I get a sense of the field of Social Services. For Example, I get to watch some of the kids in the shelter. This is really great experience. After a day of filing papers, it is nice to watch a movie with some of the kids. This internship is a great learning experience. Just interacting with these women and children has taught me a lot. Also, I have learned a lot about the field of Social Services, and I want to have a career in it.
