Summary of Internship

My internship at the Englewood Hospital mainly takes place in the Operating Room. Here We shadow doctors and observe surgeries throughout the day. Some days we are allowed to go to the rat lab and operation on them and learn the anatomy of the body. On rotation days we go to other parts of the hospitaol to learn about what occurs there. These sections include Pathology, the Emegency Room, the Intensive Care Unit, and the Blood Bank. Every so often, Dr. Dardik meets up with us and checks on our progress. Dr. Dardik is the Cheif of Vascular Surgery, and has had interns from the Bergen Academies. He also has medical students from University of Pennsylvannia and Mount Sinai. He's had many students under his wing and he's knows how to bring the best out of his students. No matter how busy he is in the Operating Room, Dr. Dardik is always willing to teach us his words of wisdom and teaching us something new.
