Summary of Internship

As an intern at Salient Architects every week I am exposed to many different tasks starting from things that seem not important as filing to going out with my mentor on site visits to perform task such as documenting information on the site that is being worked on. My first few weeks at the office were hard there werenít many task that I could do and this is due to the fact that I didnít know AutoCAD. I was told if I wanted to do other thing I would have to familiarize myself with the software and this is what I did. On my own I played around with the program and followed one of the workers textbooks which helped me learned the basics of the program. Also when I was given tasks if I didnít understand something I found the workers very helpful and understanding. From my experience here I have learned a small part on all the different aspects of architecture, I have even learned that even though the weather might be bad you still need to get out there and do what is required to do your job. The time Iíve spent here has also reassured me that architecture is the career that I am going to pursue.
