Summary of Internship
At Hackensack Pediatrics I have been given the opportunity to experience what a private medical practice is like. I learn what a pediatrician does, as well as the other parts of a practice: administration and billing. When I am not shadowing my mentor I do various tasks in the business parts of the firm, such as how to check for insurance liability and pulling out files of patients who will be coming in on that particular day. By shadowing my mentor I observe the procedure of how a doctor works and how they interact with their patients.
