Summary of Internship
As an intern I wrote articles, dropped off newspapers, and kept the office clean. A typical day for me was arriving at 10 am every Thursday and either reporting to my mentor for my daily tasks or whoever else was in the office. The work usually took all day. Most of my work was reasearching and writing articles as well as typing other information into the database for it to be inputed into the paper. So far I have written about 15 articles and 7 have been published. One in particular made the front page. To go into an atmosphere and not really have any background work into what I was doing was tough. I am glad that my mentor accepted me regardless of my lack of experience. With help from my mentor my writing has improved as well as my confidence.
