Summary of Internship
At the New Jersey Institute of Technology my internship is in the Chemical Lab. My mentor, Demitrios Stamatis, assigns me various tasks to aid in the labs research and development of consolidated reactive materials, or thermite pellets. These assignments vary according to our progression, but I have: pressed pellets, helped with experiments, ignited pellets and conducted research on related experiments. I personally feel that my contributions are important to the lab and I am happy that I do not perform humdrum jobs such as getting coffee or using a copy machine.
