Summary of Internship
I chose to intern in the Labor and Delivery Department at EHMC because I wanted to always see a vaginal birth or sectional birth. This rare experience includes observing different births, questioning the patients with the nurses, learning from all of the nurses and interacting with everyone from the anesthesiologist to the OBGYNs. In other words, I get to observe operations that only nursing students and medical students get to witness. I also have the privilege bringing the babies from the Labor and Delivery area to the Mother Baby area. I would recommend this internship to anyone who is interested in medicine, especially those who are interested in learning about pregnancies. The experiences at EHMC are utterly and irrevocably educational and unforgettable.
