Summary of Internship

I did my internship at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. I interned in the Computer Science division of the University. My mentor was Professor Min Song. I learned many things while interning at NJIT. I was given a chance to learn more about the Networking field of Computers and how it operates. I learned different kinds of networking languages such as Javascript, PhP, and more of HTML. My mentor wasn’t literally in campus on Thursdays, but I was always able to communicate with him through skype, an instant messaging/call service applicant in the computer. I would call him for help and he would definitely answer my questions. Also, I worked with couple of professor’s students, such as Erik and Vahid. Vahid was always helping me and teaching me about Javascript to work on the IntegraL project. IntegraL was a website we were working on. It is is a website which links all the Digital Libraries such as NSDL, Google Scholar, ACM Digital Library, IEEE, NJIT Library and many more. I had some very useful and interesting experiences that will definitely help me to my future career, or life. If given the chance to change my internship, I wouldn’t because the experiences I experienced were very helpful to me.
