Summary of Internship

My internship at Coffin Turbo Pump has been very enlightening. Throughout my days at the company, I have gained new knowledge that I have never known about the environment of an engineer. From the day I entered the facility, I was taught the professional responsibilities of each co-worker and the company. The work I received and executed was very difficult. Since I was unfamiliar with the activities, as well as, the methods and techniques needed to execute them, I was confused on what to do and how to do it. For instance, I had to learn how to create Computer Aided Drawings on Autodesk Inventor 2010. Analyzing a draw sheet for each model was very difficult at first, but later on it became very simple. Though they were difficult, my mentor walked me through each section step by step. As I accomplished each 3D drawing, I became more experienced. This experience has exponentially benefited me and my future career as an engineer. I truly appreciate this opportunity.
