Topic of Internship
NJIT also known as, New Jersey’s Science and Technology University, is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. It is ranked #1 in New Jersey in awarding engineering degrees to African Americans and Hispanics students. The Electrical and Computer Engineering department is dedicated to providing outstanding academic and research experience for students to prepare them to meet the needs and challenges of the 21st century in electrical and computer engineering.
Summary of Internship
At my internship, I used a computer program called CST [Microwave Studio] to model and run simulations related to experiments with biophysical samples on periodic metal structures. Introduction to the CST simulation program was accomplished by performing simulations of the distribution of electrical field and current on the surface of metal micro-structure. The applications of CST simulations were related to investigations of biophysical samples attached to metal structures by graphene screens.
