Summary of Internship

My time spent at Women’s eNews was an invaluable lesson on the inner workings of not only a functioning web magazine but also a non-profit organization. While interning here I spent my time completing tasks that aided in the publication of the daily articles on the website and the annual gala event honoring 21 women who have made a difference in the lives of women today. My tasks included filing, creating mailing lists, writing and editing letters, creating portfolios for possible sponsorships and other secretarial duties. Through all of my dedication and hard work I was given the opportunity to write an editorial for the website and sit in on meetings with sponsors. As an intern at Women’s eNews I got insight into the fast pace working world of journalism and public relations that will assist me in my future goals.
