Summary of Internship

Interning at Merrill Lynch in New York City has allowed me to broaden my horizons by being exposed to the real business world and interacting with people outside of my comfort zone. I have been given many tasks to complete through my experience ranging from creating weekly and monthly cost per point reports in Excel to analyses on the overall card redemption statistics. I was able to enhance my Microsoft Office skills and refine my communication and time management skills. The Rewards Team that I work with has provided me with knowledge from the weekly team meetings and listening in to messages from the CEO. Also, I gained much knowledge about the banking and credit industry, and was introduced to the overall business environment. Not only was I able to work with my Rewards Team, but I was able to interact with the other departments in Merrill Lynch from Marketing to Cash Rewards Solutions. I have been able to gain a clear understanding of many inner workings within the company and how many difficult problems are solved as a team. Through this internship, I was exposed to many aspects of the business world that I will be eternally thankful for.
