Summary of Internship
At my internship, I am assigned at least one article to write every week as well as the usual office tasks, such as filing, scanning, and other errands. The best part about my internship is the care my mentors show me; they really want to make sure I am comfortable and active in the newspaper. Moreover, as is true about all internships, it is what you make of it. The mentors in the office are willing to allow you to evolve. Right off the bat, they will let you interview people, take pictures of events, and write articles. If you continue to show competency and eagerness, they will grant you greater responsibility and larger tasks. Even if you do not plan a career in journalism, this internship will help you develop basic office skills and people skills.
