Summary of Internship
As a FlightSafety records department representative, my internship at FlightSafety International comes with a lot of responsibility. On my first day I was incredibly surprised and gratified to receive my own desk and computer. The tech team assigned me my own email so that I would be able to correspond with every branch of FlightSafety International. I was taught to carefully audit Joint Aviation Authority records for pilots as well as flight attendants. At FlightSafety there is an extremely complex way of sorting and keeping track of records, and it was my responsibility to understand this system in a very short time span. Throughout my internship so far my mentor and the rest of the FlightSafety team has taken an enormous amount of time from their days and spent it teaching everything there was to know about flying. I have had the opportunity to sit in on ground school and flight science classes, among others, and to spend a great amount of time learning to fly in those amazing flight simulators.
