Company/Organization: Andy Chang, DMD
Mentor(s):Dr. Andy Chang
Topic of Internship
Working as an intern under Dr. Andy Chang, I have been given the privilege to see one of the best in the dentistry field do work on a weekly basis. One of the most common sights I have seen as an intern is the fear in the patient's eyes. The fear of dentists horrendously extricating a tooth, causing indescribable pain was always present in their eyes. Yet somehow, with his hands, Dr. Chang calmly performs each surgery, somehow suppressing the fear that many people have. As each surgery came to an end, the patients leave, able to enjoy a much needed good night sleep. Dr. Chang and I often attend Eva’s Village in Paterson, New Jersey to give operations to the residents there. I have observed Dr. Chang perform a range of surgeries, from extracting a tooth to performing multiple root canal operations. After each visit to Eva’s Village, Dr. Chang and I sometimes to go the Palisades Park office to perform other wide variety of surgeries, ranging from an implant to an alveoplasty surgery.
