Summary of Internship

My experience was amazing. There is no other word to describe the amount of education and the comfort in atmosphere I felt. From the Cardiac Catheter lab to the Pharmacy Department in the Same Day Surgery unit, every Thursday was an adventure. I never knew what to expect so I tried to expect everything. I did everything from watching Cataract Surgery to preparing Cocaine (no...not that stuff). I sat in on differential diagnoses and saw stenting over seven times in seven different places. I met many students, both medical and nursing, who were getting the same experience I was. I never once felt like a high school student; I always felt like a professional.
