Summary of Internship
Being an intern in the Radiology department allowed me to see all aspects in Radiology. I observed X-ray, MRI, and Ultrasound technicians as they performed their task and therefore able to witness first hand the responsibility that comes with the job. Being part of the department also allowed me to explore both the medical and technology fields, as proper use of machines is critical for the job. Through visuals, I was able to learn about the human anatomy and learn how the human system works and degenerates overtime. This internship is truly great because I interact with patients constantly which allowed me to build my social skills in a professional environment. As an intern caring for a patient means not only to transport them, bring them to the rooms where they will receive their scans, but to make them feel comfortable and to make them aware that every member of the department is a professional and that they picked the right people for the job.
