Summary of Internship
Since the first day as an intern at JTCC, I was immediately surrounded by the kindness that everyone gave me. All the physicians, nurses, APNs as well as other volunteers helped and guided me with a smile. At around 11:30 AM, the peak of my internship begins. I begin stacking my cart with lunch for the patients that just came out of their treatments ranging from radiation to chemotherapy and surgery. I thought that many of these people would be very sensitive so I carefully and kindly served the lunch. To my surprise some people were very happy to see me. They loved the fact that a mere high schooler was taking time off to talk and interact with the patients while serving them lunch. This put me in good spirit because I felt that their happiness and smile can aide in their recovery, that I played a small part of it. Thanks to this experience Iíve gained a bigger spark for my passion to go into the field of medicine
