Summary of Internship

Every Thursday, I have the great opportunity in gaining experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Every Thursday morning I arrive at the EX Air office around 9 A.M. I sit down at my desk, turn on my computer, and check my surrounding for any work that needs to be completed. After getting myself settled, I go to one of my mentorís office and ask for an assignment. It normally takes me about two hours or so to complete my task. Many times if there is no task for me to do, my mentors would send me out with another part time intern on a trip to the city. We mostly visit project sites to collect paperwork or deliver materials. My time as an intern has been productive and interesting. I have learned plenty about living the life of an HVAC contractor. I have developed many skills on the computer such as how to use download and covert files very quickly. I also learned much about engineering consulting since there is a lot of communication that is needed. I have come to an understanding that a life of a mechanical engineer is very busy and it takes plenty of responsibility, patience, and dedication to be successful such as my mentors at EX Air Inc.
