Summary of Internship

Technicolor PostWorks NY is a post-production company that operates one of the largest editorial operations in the country. Along with their state of the art editing technology, they also provide film, television, sound editing and mixing facilities with a talented team of sound artists. Having the opportunity to intern at a successful post production company, I shadowed various editors, colorists, sound artists, project managers, a projectionist, and even gained experience in the traffic and client services departments. I have learned that these jobs are very demanding and there will be certain times where you have to do more than tedious work to get a special project completed efficiently. Technicolor PostWorks NY is inhabited by team players who get their job done, no matter how frustrating their clients are. Being in a professional setting, I also gain connections who can recommend me to certain areas or people that will help better my future career. Technicolor PostWorks NY gave me great exposure to the entertainment business and I fully recommend this internship to anyone who is interested in learning the finishing side of production.
