Summary of Internship
As an intern within Prudent Publishing Company, I was responsible for completing several tasks, all relating to the different aspects of business marketing. In the beginning, I was responsible for logging in Google Ranking Results for key words relating to two of the three websites the company owns. After, I would record the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page) for each keyword. Once I was settled, I was given the confidence by my mentor and peers to work on logging in Competitor Marketing Advertisements, Check Pieces, and Cold Mailing Listings. In terms of Marketing Analysis, I learned the various components of competitor designs, website analysis, consumer behavior, advantages and disadvantages of a business’ marketing channels, and much more. Although at times the work done could seem tedious and mundane, every assignment given has its value of importance and crucial role in the development and learning of a marketing intern. In addition, I was given the opportunity to attend important meetings with my mentor, and at times without her, where I learned invaluable information on marketing, and working with others. Throughout my internship, I had the fortune and privilege to have worked alongside very open minded, cordial, intelligent, and attentive people. Everyone in the office treated each other with complete respect, creating a very comfortable and “family like” work environment; an ideal feeling and experience for a marketing intern.
