Summary of Internship
I have had the honor of shadowing Dr. Mohamed Tantawi, who is respectfully known as Dr. Mo. His day includes seeing sick patients as well as healthy patients who come in for routine checkups, physicals, updated shots and sick visits. From being able to observe appointments I have learned a lot about the professional relationship between doctor and patient and how Dr. Mo interacts with the patients and their parents based on their personalities. As an intern I have had the opportunity to prepare strep tests on my own which has given me the chance of a hands on experience. With Dr. Mo’s patience I have been able to learn a lot from him and each patient is a learning experience for me. I enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and the chance to constantly learn new things.
