Summary of Internship
In the New York Presbyterian hospital, I serve as an assistant to the woman in charge of the Biomedical Engineering section of the hospital. Her name is Bokang Rapoo and she is in charge of making sure all of the rooms and the equipment inside of the rooms are up to date and working. I complete a series of documents in which I have to make sure all of the numbers add up and everything is in place. Every Thursday I check in with the hospital, and swipe my card to sign in. Afterwards I meet up with my mentor and we either go to the hospital located in Cornell or in Colombia. It is essential to always be focused during my internship because any mistake could end up costing the hospital millions of dollars. Helping people is the main priority here, which is the reason I enjoy having the opportunity to intern for such a great company.
